Participate in Governance

Shape Nolus’ future by voting on proposals via the app or Keplr—your staked NLS gives you a voice in key protocol decisions

Governance is how stakers shape the Nolus Protocol. Voting guides development, funding decisions and upgrades, and it is open to anyone holding staked NLS.

Voting in the Nolus app

Open the Vote section in the left-hand sidebar. You will see the list of active proposals. Select the one you want to vote on, read through the details, and choose your option: Yes, No, No with Veto, or Abstain. Confirm the transaction in your connected wallet to cast the vote on-chain.

A Solana wallet also gives you a Nolus account derived from the same key, and your Solana wallet extension signs the vote directly, so you do not need a separate Cosmos wallet.

One thing to check first: only staked NLS votes. NLS you are holding on Solana has to be moved into your Nolus account with Fund and staked before it counts.

Voting through the Keplr Dashboard

The Keplr Dashboard covers on-chain governance across Cosmos networks. Open the Governance section, select the Nolus network if it is not already active, and browse the active proposals. Click the proposal you are interested in, then click Vote. Pick your option in the pop-up and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

How voting power works

Governance participation is open to anyone who has staked NLS, and voting power is proportional to the size of your stake. Your validator votes with your delegated stake by default, and your own vote overrides that for your share.

Proposals cover everything from treasury usage to core protocol upgrades, which makes participation a meaningful part of how Nolus evolves.
