This article is the short version of everything Solana: how to connect, how to move funds, and what you can do.
Connect a Solana wallet
Open app.nolus.io and click Connect Wallet. Under Solana you can connect Solflare or Phantom. Nolus is non-custodial, so your assets stay under your control and nobody will ever ask you for your recovery phrase.
One wallet runs everything: your Nolus account address is created from the same key as your Solana address, so you sign every Nolus transaction with the same extension and there is no second wallet to install.
Before you connect anything, the app shows the Solana catalog. If you hold NLS in a Keplr-based Nolus account, the Troubleshooting & FAQ article walks through moving it across.
One limit worth knowing up front: Ledger-backed Solana wallets cannot fund a Nolus account. Such a wallet cannot sign the transfer back out again, so the app asks for a signature check before any funding and blocks it rather than letting money get stranded.
Fund and withdraw
Money moves between your Solana wallet and your Nolus account with the Fund and Withdraw buttons on the Balances screen. Assets travel between Nolus and Solana over the protocol’s transfer channel, and the app tracks each transfer for you.
The withdraw destination is locked to the connected wallet, so there is no address to type and nothing to send to the wrong place.
The processing time shown for a transfer is about 6 seconds.
You pay the Solana network fee in SOL, so keep a little in your wallet. Funding SOL is capped so enough is left for the fee, and if the balance is short the form says "Add SOL to your Solana wallet to cover the network fee" before you sign anything.
The first time your wallet receives a given asset, Solana needs a one-time account set up for that token. The protocol covers that cost and it happens automatically when the transfer arrives.
A funding transfer carries a deadline of roughly 23 hours. If it is not delivered by then it is refunded to the sending wallet instead of hanging forever.
Both show up in History as Transfer rows reading "Fund {amount} from {address}" and "Withdraw {amount} to {address}", marked In progress until they settle, with a short notice when a transfer completes and another if it does not. Transaction hashes you can copy there are Nolus-side hashes.
What you can do on Solana
Open a margin position. Solana carries one market and it is long only. You can go long on cbBTC, HYPE, SOL and wETH with up to 5x leverage, and put down SOL and USDC as your down payment. The minimum down payment is $40, each asset has its own maximum shown in the form, and an open position has to stay worth at least 15 USDC. Opening takes about 20 to 25 seconds. Earn on idle USDC. Supply USDC to the Solana pool and collect yield. The live rate sits next to the pool on the Earn screen. See Earn on Idle Assets.
Stake NLS and vote. Both work from a Solana session. NLS in your Solana wallet is moved into your Nolus account with Fund first.
Good to know
Short positions. Short positions are currently available on Solana.
Swap is not available in the app in this release. The Swap surfaces are hidden.
The asset list. cbBTC, HYPE, NLS, SOL, USDC and wETH.
NLS on Solana. NLS trades on Solana exchanges such as Raydium and Jupiter, and Jupiter marks it as verified. Several unrelated tokens use the NLS ticker there; the Nolus app recognises only the NLS issued through the protocol's transfer channel, so look the token up on Jupiter, check for the badge, and confirm through the Official Nolus Channels before buying anywhere new.
Network fees. Solana transactions are paid in SOL from your wallet. Nolus network fees can be paid in your Solana assets, so you do not need to hold NLS.
If something looks stuck
A transfer either completes or times out and returns the funds to the sending account. Give it a few minutes and watch the History row change from In progress. Tracking survives a reload, so you can refresh the tab or come back later.
