The Nolus app has a settings menu for customising the interface and for turning alerts about your margin positions on or off.
Where to find settings
The settings icon is a cog wheel.
It sits on the right-hand side of the navigation bar, next to your Account details.
Clicking it opens the settings panel, where all the options below live.
Settings hold three things: language, theme, and the alert toggle. There is nothing else to configure there.
Once a wallet is connected, the button beside the cog is your Account. On desktop it prints your account’s total value next to your address, and clicking it opens the Account popover: your wallet card, the Total Value figure, the Fund and Withdraw buttons, and your Balances list. One display preference lives there rather than in settings, and it is covered below.
Language preferences
The app is available in several languages.
By default it launches in English.
You can switch language directly from the settings panel.
The interface, menus, and system messages update instantly.
Your choice is saved in the browser and stays active in future sessions.
If you use Nolus on more than one browser or device, set your preferred language on each one.
Theme options
Three appearance options are available:
Light: bright and clean, best for daytime use.
Dark: easier on the eyes in low light.
Sync with OS: follows your device or browser setting. This is the default.
A theme change applies instantly across the whole interface.
Hiding your balances
The eye button next to Total Value in the Account popover, named Toggle values for screen readers, masks money figures across the whole app and not only in that popover: the total on the Account button, the Balances list, the values on your positions, and the amounts on the home page’s Revenue Share card. Counts are not money, so the Referrals count stays readable. The icon follows the current state, so you can see at a glance whether values are hidden.
Alerts
A single bell at the top of the settings panel, shown once a wallet is connected, switches push notifications on or off. That is the whole control: there is nothing to configure per asset, per position, or per alert type, and no thresholds to set.
With alerts on, Nolus tells you about margin position events that need your attention, so you can act before a liquidation happens:
Health warnings, which get more urgent the closer a position drifts towards liquidation.
A reminder to fund a position that is running low on health.
Liquidation notices, when a position has been partially or fully liquidated.
Alerts are a safety net, not a guarantee. Markets can move faster than a notification arrives, so keep an eye on your positions yourself, under My Positions in the left menu. The home page is a second place to watch: with a wallet connected, the price chart under the Margin Markets board draws your own positions on the selected market’s price line.
Browser-based support
Nolus is a web application, so notifications rely on your browser’s own notification system.
Notifications are enabled or disabled per browser and per device.
The first time you open Nolus, you are asked to allow or block them.
If you block them, you can re-enable them later in your browser’s permission settings.
