Nolus Swap lets you convert one token into another from inside the Nolus dApp. Instead of leaving the app, bridging manually, and swapping somewhere else, you pick what you have and what you want, and the swap happens in one action.
What Is the Underlying Technology Behind Nolus Swap?
Swaps are routed through the Skip Go API, which finds a path between two tokens across the Cosmos ecosystem over IBC and executes it.
The useful part is that Skip Go combines transfer and swap steps into a single route. A conversion that would otherwise mean an IBC transfer, a swap on a DEX, and another transfer back becomes one operation you approve once. You do not have to work out the route yourself or hold intermediate tokens along the way.
For you this means fewer steps, less waiting between them, and fewer chances to send funds to the wrong place. The routing decisions stay with Skip Go, and what you see in the app is the token you started with, the token you end up with, and the rate.
